- You will use the hose to pour the beer from your fermenter into a bottling bucket. The bottling bucket also needs to be clean.
- From the bottling bucket to bottles. You need dark-colored, glass bottles to store your beer in.

Make Your Own Beer – Preparation
We are great lovers of the Make Your Own Beer brewing kits because they also come with the ingredients and recipe. If you are putting together your own make your own beer equipment, you need to source a beer recipe and buy the ingredients in order to make your own beer. Once you have everything in place, you must make sure all your equipment has been cleaned and sanitized. This is very important and must be done correctly before you proceed to make your own beer.
Make Your Own Beer – Begin The Process
Start to Make Your Own Beer by boiling water so it is steaming but not boiling. Take it off the heat and add your ingredients according to the instructions of the recipe. Everything must dissolve properly so be sure to give the pot a good stir for about ten minutes. Once you are happy that everything has dissolved, put the lid back on, and return it to a very low heat for about ten to fifteen minutes.
In your fermenter, add cold water and then pour the hot water in. Mix it well and when the side of your fermenter, is cool, add the yeast. Mix the yeast in, put the airlock and stopper into your fermenter and let it rest for 3 to 4 days.
Make Your Own Beer – Fermentation and Bottling
After three days of your mixture being in the fermenter ( it is not beer yet), peer into the airlock. If you see bubbles in the airlock then the process is still taking place and you have to wait. Check the airlock every day until the bubbles disappear. This process should take around five days.
When the bubbles have disappeared, you can transport the beer to the bottles. Place your fermenter at a higher level than your bottling bucket. Attach the hose to both objects and then move your beer across. Don’t try to get out all the beer as the sediment is not part of the mixture that you want to drink.
Once the beer is in the bottling bucket, you can then use the hose to pour it into bottles. Leave an inch gap in each bottle and add the cap straight away. When all the bottles are full and capped, move them to a dark place that is cool and not cold.
The yeast in your mixture still needs more time to work. Now simply wait a period of two weeks before you sample your product. If the beer is not to your liking then wait a couple of days more. You do need a little patience to make your own beer and rushing the process just will not produce high-quality results.
The last step to make your own beer is to check if it is clear. If it is ready to drink, the cloudiness caused by the yeast would have dispersed.
